Behavior Support

In addition to our commitment to our students' academic needs, we also provide a school climate that supports our students' social-emotional growth. We have a staff that is highly trained in behavioral supports, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS), and we utilize a school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) system in order to encourage our students to succeed by rewarding positive behavior.

All of our students have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and our IEP/Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP) coordinator works with teaching teams to tailor behavioral interventions to the specific needs of a particular student. The focus is always on the student, and the goal is to provide every student with the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) in the classroom that is appropriate for that child.
